The tekdi (hill) derives its name from the Durga temple on the hill. Durga tekdi is a small hill in Nigdi Pune, its a very popular place for nearby situated people. People use to go for morning walk and jogging.
here you will see Plants such as rain tree, Pelthohorum, Ficus, Neem, Glyricidia, Suru, Sisoo, Kasid, Subabul etc
The best season to visit here is a monsoon or winter, I visited here at December it means it was a winter. It was Saturday so plenty of people were there to enjoy their weekend.
people like to spend couple of hours or a more than that at this place. Cause the environment is so pleasant.
Threre is lot of space for you to sit and talk. People comes with family and play some games like loodo, bandminton, chess, and many more.
We also enjoyed the badminton for couple of hours...
Another attraction of this place is there is a an amusement park, Indira Gandhi Udyan (Appu Ghar), which is built on the lines of Appu Ghar in Delhi.
so if you visit this place you get a chance to feel natural climate as well as some fun at park.
at appu ghar there are few rides they are not too big size but you can enjoy them with your family. Specially if you do have kids then its worth to visit there.
for appu ghar there is entry fee of rs 30 (till to Dec 2015) and you will need to pay extra for the rides inside. they are mostly 40rs per ride (till to Dec 2015).
another option is that you can buy a combo pack of rs 300 including entry and all rides, but I won't recommend it as few rides are too small that you wont want to sit on them so buying a seperate ticket is recommended.
Overall, its a good place to spend few hours with your family and friends.
